Nathaniel Rankin, an international award winning magician, is an enthusiastic performer who delivers a unique blend of magic and juggling. A graduate from 'Circomedia' a contemporary circus and physical theatre diploma program in Bristol, England, has led the way to creating and performing visually stunning, thought provoking performances. Nathaniel is part of a new breed of cutting-edge magicians and has been featured at numerous venues throughout Canada, U.S., Europe and England, from a six month National tour in Europe, to one of the biggest performance art festivals in the world, the famous 'Glastonbury Festival,' U.K.

In 2005 Nathaniel won the gold medal in the junior stage magic category at the '74th Magi-Fest' convention, held in Columbus, Ohio, U.S., where participants came from all over the U.S. and Canada. Nathaniel also came in first place in 2005, in the junior stage magic category at the 'Canadian Association of Magician’s' convention, held in Kitchener, Ontario, Canada. In 2007, he was awarded the “Continuing Professional Development Grant” from Cirque Bijou and the Bristol Arts Council of England, for his work in integrating magic, contemporary dance, and juggling into his original performance pieces.

In 2007, he was awarded the “Continuing Professional Development Grant” from Cirque Bijou and the Bristol Arts Council of England, for his work in integrating magic, contemporary dance and juggling into his original performance pieces.

Recently Nathaniel performed in Cirque Starlight's latest production, 'Coulisse,' touring Switzerland for 6 months with over 180 shows. Nathaniel had the privilege of working with an international cast of artists and two artistic directors, James Tanabe, (New Circus Asia, Barcode Productions) and Goos Meeuwsen, (Cirque du Soleil, Barcode Productions.)
